San Javier


San Javier is to only 25 km from Tucumán's San Miguel, being the summer villa nearest to the Capital and is placed to 1.150 mts. on the level of the sea.
Here, apart from beautiful residential houses, there are numerous natural framed attractions the majority of they close to the Park San Javier's Saw, where it is possible to realize the most diverse activities and excursions: parapente, trekking, cavalcades, mountain bike, etc.
The temperature is very agreeable all the year round, especially in summer due to the fact that one transforms into an oasis into relation to the high existing temperatures some kilometres down into Tucumán's San Miguel. In winter, they give themselves sporadic snowfalls. In the top of the Hill San Javier, besides houses of fín of week and establishments that offer tourist services, in this beutifull place exist one of the greatest monumtes of Christ Bendicente, a sculpture of 28 meters of height, realized by the artist tucumano Juan Carlos Iramain and inauguratde in 1942, year in wich san javier was foundated.
In the last years San Javier turned into national center of practice of parapentismo, for which possesses a natural platform of jumps, so called Hill Ball, being outlined as the biggest center of flight of the country in pilots' quantity and it is considered to be the biggest and sure takeoff of South America.
To reach this three wonderfull places you can get by car travelling in a great landscape with a great vegetation and many differente kinds of flowers, trees and plants.
A very special place to visit in San Javier is the Biologic park created in 1973
